I support expanding Texas' limited medical marijuana, reducing criminal penalties for marijuana possession, allowing Texas universities to study its benefits, and other common sense policies for marijuana reform.

The 2017 Texas legislative session will feature a number of pro-active policies to reform and expand Texas' marijuana laws.

In 2015, over 25,000 statewide supporters petitioned the Texas Legislature for marijuana policy reform. The serious conversation we asked for resulted in over a dozen bills filed, and high-profile committee hearings. Texas' first limited medical marijuana bill was signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott.
