I support medical marijuana, reducing criminal penalties for marijuana possession, allowing Texas universities to study its benefits, and other common sense policies for marijuana reform.

This year, for the first time ever, the Texas Legislature had a serious conversation about marijuana policy reform.

Thanks to support from a fantastic bipartisan coalition, as well as over 25,000 statewide supporters, marijuana policy reform enjoyed unprecedented progress at the Texas Capitol this year. The result? Over a dozen bills filed, first-time proposals received high-profile committee hearings and votes, and Texas' first limited medical marijuana bill was signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott.
